Guest guest
Xntriclady, Yes, fatigue (tiredness) is definetely one of the many symptoms related to chronic pancreatitis. I believe it is caused by the fact that we aren't getting proper nutritional absorption when our pancreas is compromised, so the vitamins and minerals that generally help to give us energy aren't being properly absorbed. Many of us take additional antioxidants and supplemental vitamins and minerals to replenish what isn't being absorbed. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
I don't think you can classify it as a symptom of chronic pancreatitis but more like a result of chronic pancreatitis. That is probably one of the most aggravating things about this disease. There is a tiredness that cannot be described. My husband says if I get a little energy, when I lose it it is like switching a light switch off! All of a sudden it is gone. Guest guest
In my opinion, and along with many others that I have read posted messages from, tiredness comes right along with cp. Before cp I used to have this natural energy to accomplish anything I wanted to. I felt so alive. Compared to my life now, where many days I get through the day at work, and it is a must to lay down and get some " restorative sleep " if I plan to do any activity in the evening. I don't know how new you are to the PAI, but you will receive alot of positive reinforcement. There were many things that I wasn't sure if it was in my head or an actual symptom of cp. These included, more pain after any exercise involving the abdomen, pain radiating around to my back, more pain when stressed, tiredness, vomiting and nausea, and sometimes resulting depression from so many changes within my life. Changes that are out of my control. It is a constant battle between letting the cp run me or me conquering the cp. All this has been affirmed by all the voices of the PAI. Hang in there. It's all about taking care of oneself. Robin
