Guest guest
In the eyes of SS, chronic pancreatitis alone is not 100% disabling. However, after several years and going into your 1st, 2nd or 3rd appeal, I've heard that SS may relent and grant SSD, but I AM NOT SPEAKING FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, but from what others have told me. I have also heard that the chances of getting SSD is much improved if you have some other disabling problem, like depression, along with the chronic pancreatitis. That's about all I can say about that. Above all, be very honest! SSD is for the truly needy whether they are physically handicapped, mentally handicapped or both. Again, the rule is if you're able to work some of the time, you're not disabled in their eyes. I know it doesn't sound fair or even realistic, but that's the way it is or so my friends tell me. I've also heard that each case is an individual case and the outcome cannot be based upon someone else's experience with SS. Above all, be honest with your doctors, SS and yourself about your physical and mental condition. So, I'd suggest you step back and give some thought to your condition and above all be honest! I guess I've beaten the honesty thing into the ground, but you have to live with yourself. Anyway, just believe that things have a way of working out and they probably will! Good Luck! Guest guest
Hi, I'm curious to see how you make out, please keep us posted. I was considering Disability and was advised I would be best off hiring a lawyer to present my case. My doctors are all behind me. Rickbirthn905 wrote: Well, I finally got all the paperwork required by SSA for Disability App. Recieved a letter that I need to call for a phone interview and must have someone who knows about my "condition" available also. What kind of questions/info are they going to ask in this phone interview? Is this just standard procedure? Any suggestions of what I might say to help my case? I've been sick since April 2007, had to quit work in Sept 2007, and was officially diagnosed with neurosarc in October 2007.SharonCary, NC
