Guest guest
Kimber, Did I see you write, " I'll probably look around for something to do as a volunteer, but right now I don't want to jeopardize my disability case. " I used to be shy about asking for help, but if you are looking for something to do, the PAI has so many projects that need someone to adopt them and bring them to fruition, the organization could keep you and several other people as busy as you would want to be. And, since you're " not doing anything that looks remotely like work, " this will be great, since there is no pay, no set hours, no time clock! The only drawback from most of the projects the PAI has open is that they are all " work at home " jobs, and won't fulfill the need to working in an office with a group of people. After a while, from emailing everyday and doing net conference calls, it seems like we are in one big office. When I am not careful I find myself posting, out of the office today " when I am doing something else. Seriously, though, if you or anyone else has some time on the hands and wants to work on a project, please let me know. If you are already holding a position, such as a Representative, and feel underutilized, let me know. Karyn E. , RN Indianapolis, Indiana Ex. Guest guest
Karyn, I'll have to think about it, however, I am hoping to eventually do more in my current volunteer function as a representative. That and actually have time to read all of those articles on pancreatitis that I've been collecting (and listing all the associated URLs so that other people in the group can have access to them). Right now, most of my free time is being filled with all those nice lovely forms that SSD likes to give you. (Thanks for lending me that book. I'll be sending it back in a bit, but I'm rereading the sections on the daily activities form for tips on filling out those forms). Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
