Guest guest
Dear , This news of your brother must be very reassuring and it appears that some of your, and our, prayers have been answered. Thank you for being so prompt with this news. It will be yet another trial if your brother loses his insulin production as a result of this trauma, but I did want to let you know that by my personal experience, it is something that can be dealt with. As a result of my chronic pancreatitis and recent diabetic ketoacidosis, I have lost all insulin production and am a brittle diabetic. He will need to find an experienced Endocrinologist to review his medical history and take over this part of his medical treatment. You might mention to whoever it is that is talking with his doctor that they engage the services of a good endocrinologist as soon as it's prudent. I will continue to keep your brother, and you, in my thoughts and prayers. If I can be of any help, you know you can email me personally at any time. Being so far away from a loved one who is in critical medical condition, and dealing with a language barrier on top of that, adds so much stress. Do take care of yourself, and look for serenity and positive ways to reduce the stress. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative PAI, Intl. It was rough though as he started hemorhaging right away and they had to go through 2 units of blood. The surgeon's English was limited and my older brother and mother could not get much info They did say that his pancreas looks very bad and that he would probably lose his insulin production. > in SC
