Guest guest
Hello to all, Makalem has been approved for the total pancreatectomy with islet cell transplant!!! We are awaiting a surgery date. Would anyone who has been through this please share whatever information you can about travel arrangements, accommodations for me while she is in the hospital etc. I thought I had read on here at some point about possible assistance with air travel but where, who and how? Then again, I may have dreamt it (lol). We are so excited but a bit scared too. Makalem is wanting more info on recovery...what to expect, how long, etc. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers and input and I hope all are having a wonderful, and hopefully, pain free day. Peace and Positive Thoughts, and Makalem ez
Guest guest
I am so happy that Malalem was approved for surgery. Wow. Please keep us informed. I am working on retrieving the posts from everyone who had the TP/ICT and put them in a file which would be more accessible to people wanting to hear from people about what it was like. I am trying to get people who have had this surgery to be part of a panel at the symposium. If anyone reading this has had the TP/ICT and wants to attend let me know. We'll figure out something to get you here. No promises, of course, but we'll try. I hope to hear if Dr. Sutherland will be able to be our keynote speaker. Karyn E. , RN Indianapolis, Indiana Ex.
