Guest guest Posted April 14, 2003 Report Share Posted April 14, 2003 Just wanted to let you all know that my brother will be undergoing surgery tonight (April 15 morning in Japan time) to remove his spleen and to try to repair the damage sustained from the portal hypertension. They have told us it is a very risky operation and should take at least 5 hours. Thanks again for the support and info about care in Japan. We have good faith in his doctors at this point. I think my brother will be able to get some good support and info from this website once he pulls through this acute situation.
