year, Dr. Sutherland was willing, but my local HMO wasn't willing, so I didn't

Dr Sutherland. I think he one of the best surgeon for Pancreatitis in the

country, from what I had heard here over the past year.

You need to give your doctor's nurse Dr. Sutherland's email address to Anne

Marie Papas. They use email more than anything. If they email him, someone

will email or call them back directly to schedule an appointment.

Be sure to bring with you to Dr. Sutherland's office all of your

medical records. At least bring what you can get your hands on. If you do

have the surgery you will be asked to have all of your records sent to Dr.

Sutherland before you arrive. It takes time to collect them all from your

doctors.

Dear Karyn,

I finally called Ann Marie Papas myself today. She seems really

nice! Anyway, she was pretty upset with my Dr.'s nurse. She said

that my Dr.'s nurse did try calling (once) and left a message. Ann

Marie also said that she had tried calling my Dr.'s nurse several

times only to be told that she was busy or else she would be put on

hold. She said the last time she tried calling today that she was

put on hold for 20 minutes before she finally hung up and emailed me

to see if April 29 would work for me. I didn't know she had emailed

me until I talked to her today and I guess she had just got done

sending my email. She said " What's wrong with those people, don't

they know this can be very serious? "

So anyway, I did get an appt. and it's only 1 1/2 weeks away,

that's not bad for a Dr. that is in such great demand!

I don't know yet if I will be having the surgery. It all depends

on what Dr. Sutherland thinks. My appt. on the 29 is just a

counseltation (spelling?).

Why should I start keeping a journal? Is there a reason?
