Guest guest
Hi .... Has anyone ever experienced numbness in both hands ? For the past week or so I have been getting both numbness in my hands along with excruciating pain throughout the tiny bones (a dull ache ... such as a toothache) At times it gets so bad that I have to run my hands under warm water to ease the pain. I have made an appointment with my MD but the earliest I could get in was April 28th. It just seems as the days go by the problem gets worse. Just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated
Guest guest
Dear Kim, During the past year I have experienced numbness and/or tingling in both hands. This problem can be an indication of carpel tunnel syndrome. It also a symptom associated with diabetic neuropathy, which in my case, is what I had. With our CP giving us such a strong predilection for diabetes, I would suggest that your doctor, or yourself, check your blood glucose readings to determine any irregularities. There are neuropathic tests that can be done to determine if it is carpel tunnel syndrome. CTS seems to have some genetic connection, as my father and all his siblings suffer from this condition. I hope you find the cause. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative PAI, Intl.
