Guest guest
Hi , Welcome home, we missed you, too. I am glad that you were able to go to ND to visit your family. Did you bring your niece and nephew back from ND with you? How fortunate that your brother's children have you as an extension of his love during his absence while he works to ensure peace in the world. I know you are all proud of him. His is in my prayers as are you and your family. Gosh, I am sorry to hear that you had to experience an exacerbation of pain while out of town. It sound like they were prepared and experienced with inserting PICs under US, and eventually were able to get your pain under control. Did they discharge you with the PIC or on your regular oral protocol? Glad to see you back. Karyn Karyn E. , RN Founder / Executive Director Pancreatitis Association International Corp. Guest guest
Hello everyone, I got back last week from ND and had a good time but winded up spending 3 days in the hospital. I had a very mild attack but at least I had great doctors up there that didn't give me the run around in the ER. The only problem they had was finding a vein. They had to put a pic line in by ultrasound and then they had me on PCA. I am doing better and trying to deal with the pain here. I missed talking to all of you and hope to talk to some of you soon. My niece and nephew are here now because my brother got sent to Kuwait for 6 months. We miss him and can't wait for him to come home. Please keep him in your prayers and will email more soon. --
Guest guest
Karyn, I did bring my niece and nephew back with me. They will be staying with us until the summer is over or their daddy is back. I miss him and am proud of him. He talked to some news crews over there and told them that he missed his family but he was doing this so his kids would have a safe world to live in. The pic line was taken out when I left the hospital and they put me back on my oral meds but up the dosage of the MS Contin but the doctor here wanted me back on the 30 mg which right now doesn't seem to be working. I go see her next month unless it gets worse. I was in Indianopollis but it was early in the morning and late at night. The next time I am through there I will give you a call.
