Guest guest
I have always been told that we, as persons wcf, are NOT immune sup pressed, but that parts of the immune system, especially the " complex " system are often overworked in response to infection from pseudomonas auregoginosa, and that that system adds to lung dam age by trying (futilely) to fite off the invader, P.A. I have seen many links on this, and think that as many of us also have arthritis, diabetes, and even MS, it is more likely that our autoimmune responses are on over drive--that in effect we are the opposite of " immune suppressed, " re gardless of colds, viruses, bacteria, etc. I first heard this theory at Stan ford CF Clinics and have since encountered it elsewhere. On a completely different note, I heard on BBC last evening that many parts of the world are having the coldest winter since 1880--just to cheer us all up! Love to all at cf parents, n Rojas, who is aware that even in Northern California, almost all the mountains have snow--very rare!
