Bert,

You are very important to all of us. It sure sound like you should be on

something for depression. With all you have been through and now with your

wife illness, you certainly have a reason to feel depressed. I do not take

anything for depression myself, but I know quite a few others people in this

group do, so hopefully one of them will recommend something they take. This

lousy disease is enough to cause us all to be depressed. You did say that

you took something for depression before you had the pancreatitis, so I

would certainly suggest that you contact your doctor right away, the one

who RX the depression medicine before and let them know you have

pancreatitis and ask what would be safe for you take now. Just think,

now that your wife is recovery from her surgery, you would feel a sense

of loss, since you have temporary losses you caregiver, and just think

now you must be the caregiver for you wife, which is a very overwhelming

responsibility by itself and not feeling that good yourself. Plus your

have money worries on top of everything else to worry about. And most

of all you had to postpone your own surgery, so no wonder your feeling

the way you do. Go ahead a cry, sometimes, it the only thing that will

help is a good cry. Once you get it out of your system, you will feel

better. Just think, your wife surgery is over and she is a week into her

recovery and each week she will improve all lot, and before you know it

she will be as good as new and then it will be your turn to have your

surgery. Just take it one day at a time. Don't worry what's going to

happen next week. It will be here before you know it and by you worrying

about everything, you not helping yourself or your wife. Just keep telling

yourself when you get up everyday, that you are one day closer to having

your surgery and just think how good you are going to feel after you have

your surgery. Right now, you have hit a small pothole in the road of life

and soon you'll be past this pothole and sailing right along towards your

upcoming surgery and feeling better that you have in a very long time.

Just look towards the end results and do take to your doctor tomorrow

Wednesday April 9th, to get something for your depression and you'll feel

like a new person and able to cope again. Keep us posted on how your

doing, as we all care about you and your wife. Brighter days are ahead

for you, I promise.

Take Care,

Louie in WV
