Guest guest
le, Have they tested your mother's Amylase and lipase. If these are high they are a indication of pancreatitis. Even if they are not elevated she still can have pancreatitis. Is she currently see a good GI doc. It sound like she needs one. Have they done a test MRCP or an ERCP, they are both good test to see if she does have pancreatitis. From all her symptoms, it does sound like she could have it. She need to keep after her doctors to get to the bottom of her pain. If she does go to the ER, they must treat her pain. They must now take pain seriously. I know that all lot of ER , just act like your a drug seeker. Many of us have been treated this way in the past. Have you suggested to you mother's doctors that they check your mother for pancreatitis, maybe they have just never thought of it on there own. Many doctors, don't think to test for it, I sorry to say. I surely hope they find of what is wrong with your mother. Just keep pushing for them to do more , until they get to the bottom of her problems. It sure hard to see someone you love so much, suffer in pain the way she is. Ask the doctors to try another pain medicine since percocet isn't toughing the pain. Does she also get nauseated? I keep you both in my prayers that they get to the bottom of her pain very soon. Take Care and keep hounding the docs until they get to the bottom of her problems. Take Care, Louie ( a lady) in WV
