Shelia,

Fatigue. Yes. Fatigue is something that has become ever present. I have

little reserves, and even when I don't do much, other than just hang out at

the house, I will get hit with a wave intense enough that I just fall asleep

where I am even if it is in front of the computer. *smile*

I am not certain the cause: is it stress? is it malnutrition? (I don't have

malabsorption yet that has been diagnosed at any rate). Is it something

directly a result of the pancreas? Is it the pain meds? I am guessing in my

case it is all of the above.

Fatigue can be a serious overlooked symptom though. It can point to lots of

serious problems. Have you had your blood sugar tested? If you have problems

with the exocrine pancreas then you might have problems with the endocrine

pancreas.

My advice is to keep sharing your exhaustion with your doctor and ask him to

serious consider this. Also do your best to get plenty of rest, plenty of

water, maybe supplement your diet with an antioxidant/multivitamin, and find

a way to unwind from the stress.

And if you find what helps you deal with the stress, please share that with

us! I need help there!

Thanks, and better health to you!

Bert
