Just on the thread of heart breaking things kids say. On New Years Eve

I went around my family with the video tape and taped each ones new year

resolution. I explained to the little kids they could make a wish

instead. Liam wished to be good (trying to impress me) and Eilish

wished that this year she wont have Cf anymore. I really had to

struggle to not cry. I still manage to tape everyone else resolution,

but couldn't bare to talk into the camera as I kept remembering

Eilish's. All I could say to her was I wish that to.

Re: My Boy

This is so touching.

Last night we were eating and my older son and I were talking about

high cholesterol. Little wanted to know if his cholesterol

was high. I told him, no, people with cf need extra calories and fat

and they don't have high cholesterol.

He asked, " When my cf is gone will I have high cholesterol? "

I started to answer him, but then stopped. Could I really bring

myself to say it would never be gone?

No. I could not. I said, even when they find a way to treat your

lungs, so they don't have so much mucus, you will still probably have

some digestion problems and will need enzymes and extra calories.

It was just a little conversation, but I still have a little ache in

my heart remembering it.
