What chat room? Do you know I have NEVER ever been in a chat room? I am so

ignorant and shy!'

the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; and now we have a dog named - are you ready for

Hi all,

Wyatt is fighting his chest clapping alot lately. And since we

have a clinic coming up in Feb. we thought we would research the

thera vest. How old do they start using them and how well do they

work on children. Wyatt is 2 years now and he is 32 lbs. So he is a

good size. We are in Canada and I don't know that anyone uses them

around here. Or what the cost for them are. If anyone knows any

info on this please let me know. He is remarkable healthy for a child

with cf so we thought this might be a little less evasive for him.

On a another note! Is anyone going to be in the chat room

tonight? I'm going to try to stop in for a bit.

Thx Kim mom of Kiefer 3.5 ncf and Wyatt 2 wcf

-Hi Kim,

To be eligible to use the vest they will measure Wyatt's chest size

to make sure he'll fit the vest. There was a little girl at my last

clinic when we got the vest who I believe is smaller than Wyatt and

she got one so I " m sure he'll be fine.

I believe they cost around 12-15,000 dollars. If your insurance

doesn't cover it the VEST company will work with you to set something

up so you can get the VEST. Luckily, our insurance covered it after

years of trying!

Good luck with it all. I personally love the VEST as does my Wyatt

and it is the best thing that has happened to us! He also hated chest

clapping. Christy N. Mom of Wyatt 7wcf and Hunter 2.5 wocf

My daughter was 14 months and 21 pounds when we got the vest three

months ago. They took her measurements and custom fit her vest. It is

SOOO much easier than chest clapping.
