Guest guest
Hi, for four days now Fiona has a sore backside and it gets worse every day :-(( Ped says it's no yeast, lab says it's no bacterial infection, we say it can't be an allergy. It started like a normal yeast infection with a red rash from her labia to the anus. But now it has turned into large bumps all over her backside and they itch a lot. Any ideas what we are dealing with here? Thanks in advance! Peace Torsten, dad of Fiona 5wcf e-mail: torstenkrafft@...
Guest guest
Hi Torsten: My first thought was that Fiona may have pinworms or dermatitis from overusing some bubble bath product, or she developed an allergy to your laundry detergent or fabric softener. But you may wish to ask Fiona's doctor to test for perianal streptococcal dermatitis; this strep is highly misdiagnosed as diaper rash, pinworms, candida or other fungus. It is curable with amoxicillin, but relapse is possible and it is easy to spread among others. You can read about it at this site: http://www.aafp.org/afp/20000115/391.html Kim > Hi, > > for four days now Fiona has a sore backside and it gets worse every day > :-(( Ped says it's no yeast, lab says it's no bacterial infection, we say it > can't be an allergy. > > It started like a normal yeast infection with a red rash from her labia to > the anus. Guest guest
---You know my daughter has had a rash on her back a few times before. Now I do wonder if it could be the meds she is taking. I know she sais they itch a lot, and I just put lotion on it. I will ask the doctor our next visit, if they are present. Margo In cfparents , gdattig5@a... wrote: > <PRE>Is it her enzymes?
