Guest guest
Who knows what the " normal " number is supposed to be when a newborn has the Trypsinogen Test (heel-prick)? My niece is a carrier just like me and her new baby has a trypsinogen level of 97. They tested her husband for cf genes but found none in the preliminary test. Now they have the baby's blood sample going to the lab for DNA testing, but we hate waiting. I thought I'd check with you guys...the experts. I have read up on the Internet about the test, but they do not say what the normal number is. I do know that the test is often high and not an indication of CF. False positive levels often go down in the first months of a baby's life. Well, if anyone knows, it would be great to hear from you. Please keep little Madeline Grace in your thoughts! She is such a doll! Thanks!
