Hi Eileen

Periactin is a mild antihistamine. The one good thing about it, is that one

of it's side effects is an increase in appetite. Many people on the site use

it to stimulate appetite in their RSS kids. I believe that it is generally

given 2-3 times a day, and that the dosages have to be graduated, or some

kids will react with mood swings. There is a graduation schedule somewhere

in the archives if you're interested.
