New to the group

Hello-- My name is and I am new to the group. I am due on

December 28--just had an ultra-sound today!--and I had WLS on September 11,

2002.

I have a few questions that I was hoping y'all could answer for me.

First of all, I just left the specialist because when I conceived (on the

Nuvaring, might I add) I was taking Zocor for high cholesterol. My regular

docotr, my ob, and the specialist are all concerned because Zocor is an X

drug during pregannacy. Therefore, they have all warned me that this baby

could be born with central nervouse system abnormalities and/or deformities.

Does anybody else have any expereince with taking this drug before they

found out they were pregannat? I think I only took it the first 2-3 weeks

of my preganncy, but I am sooo scared.

Also, my husband and I are planning on telling our 7 year old daughter the

good news tonight and I am kind of nervouse to see her reaction. She is an

only child and she and I are so close. I don't think she will take it so

well! How do y'all tell your other children that they were going to have a

sibling?
