Any of the adults here have central apnea? I recently

had a sleep study and it found that I have upper

respiratory resistance syndrome with mild sleep

fragmentation. I awakened 86 times with this. I also

had one episode of central apnea and awakened with

this. I desatted to 89%. They did an MSLT which

showed moderate hypersomnolence. The nurse reported

the hypersomnolence to me in a rather hushed voice. I

said, " so you're saying I'm tired, right? " The PCP

wants me to see a pulmonologist. He's also

recommending BiPAP and ritalin. I think I'd like to

be aggressive with the BiPAP but am not interested in

the ritalin.

Any ideas about the quietest BiPAPs and CPAPs? What

about comfortable air pillows, etc. Don't think I'd

be compliant with a mask. I need a quiet machine

because hubby and I have to hear 's alarms.Any of
