weaning off the tube

Hi

My SGA baby 14 month old now eats very well with spoon during the day

so I was hoping she could wean off the tube gradually as she gets

older and doesnt need to eat overnight. Now I read that RSS kids

should never be without food for more than 4 hours so I am thinking

may be (she is not diagnosed with RSS by the way). So for those RSS

kids without tube are they awaken to eat or given a bottle every 4

hours? Upto what age is this required? Also, anyone have statistics

on what percentage of RSS kids need tube feedings and around what age

finally do their feeding problems go away (MAGIC webpage says feeding

problems during infancy so I assume they eventually go away). BTW, my

daughter has NG tube for 11 months, her GI has not proposed G-tube

yet.

Thanks

Sabina mother of Naomi (14 months SGA 13 lbs 24 inches)
