Guest guest
Thank you for your response. It is very nice meeting you. I'm not a very good communicator--don't know if I was clear about 's speech problem. He understands extremely well and tries hard to express himself. He just can't verbalize words well--but does a pretty good job of expressing himself. I think he needs on medication (or some tests done on him) because he sleeps so very little. All of us stay so worn out. My daughter never gets over 2-3 hours of sleep at a time. also has the hemi-hypertrophy that goes with RSS. His reflux is horrible. He gags and throws up so easily--like when feeding himself a piece of cheese. Getting a jar of baby food down him sometimes takes an hour--and he eats absolutely NO table food. All he will eat is cheese, cheese puffs, m&m's, and cookies. She has started putting his baby food in his bottle of milk to get it down him. My one year old is so hyper that I stay tired and am not as available to help them as I would like to be. I am an LPN and woked a lot of years in our small town hospital--but have not been working now for the last couple of years(since my mother died--can't stand to do it anymore.) I'm happy to stay home with Lane and get to take him to therapy, etc. Got Lane's one year check-up yesterday and he now weighs 18lbs. 8oz. and is 271/2 inches tall (good considering he started at 3lbs. 7oz.and 16 inches.) Do you mind sharing what size your son is now?? Did you have all these feeding and lack of sleep problems?? Yes, I joined the Magic foundation and my daughter has been a member for over a year now. One place won some of his national titles was in Chicago(with New Star Discovery). I think my daughter plans to go to the convention this summer and I MAY go with her. Would love to meet some of you. It certainly is nice to know that someone understands exactly what you are talking about. It seems sort of strange that my 2 grandsons are EXACTLT opposite. While is short, chunky light complexion, won't eat or anything, Lane is lean, long, dark and will eat anything he sees. Each of us is unique in our own way, I guess. Both boys are friendly, loving and happy and are a great joy!! I feel blessed in so many ways--good family, good friends, and excellent therapists to work with the boys. Thank you again for sharing with me. Grandma Fran
