Guest guest
Just got home from my appointment with the OB and he is going to induce me next Wednesday which will be the day I'm 39 weeks, so I will only be delivering a week early officially. Doc says that he is very pleased that I have made it this far and done so well with all the medical problems I have. So far I am not dilated at all, my cervix is still totally closed. The plan for now is for me to go for my usual biweekly testing on Monday morning, have the ultrasound and fetal heart monitoring, and then my OB wants me to come over to his office so he can see if maybe I have started to dilate. If I have not started to dilate then he wants me to check into the hospital Tuesday night to start the gels to ripen the cervix, and then he will start the induction on Wednesday morning 8am. I'm not nervous, but I may be the closer it gets, I'm not sure how I will react. I can tell my hubby is already getting a bit nervous and excited at the same time. For the last couple of days my arthritis and fibromyalgia has been so bad that I am just ready to get this over and have my body back, my back was hurting so bad last night I was in tear and my hubby was ready to take me to the ER. Thankfully my pain management doc has prescribed lidocane patches for my back and they help alot, they are great because no medication actually enters the blood stream so absolutely no effect on the baby at all. I asked if they made lidocane body suits but alas they do not, LOL! I'm grateful that we have one last weekend to finish up the little things that have slipped by though I guess its going to snow here in Minnesota. Thanks to everyone here on the list who have going through this with me, it has been such a lifeline for me since hubby and I are here with no friends or family. You guys are awesome!
