Guest guest
Thank you all who have responded to my question with your great suggestions. I am lousy at arts and crafts; I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler (LOL). I really need to do something so that I will be able to stay home. We live in a rural area and we commute to the city. If I were to continue to work, daycare near where I work would run us around $ 225.00 or more a week. I also figured with the time spent on the road commuting each day, I would only see my child 3 to 4 hours each day. My child would probably end up thinking that the babysitter was its mother. I used to sell Avon years ago and did pretty well, so I will check into that again. There are also a lot of estate auctions in the area, so Ebay is a possibility also. I have also considered working part-time in the evenings at the local Wal-mart / K-mart, but my husband vetoed that. As far as babysitting goes, it's still a possibility. I just don't want to get stuck with a child from hell, but I have a lot of closets and duct tape (LOL). I have been working with a local agency and they have a contract that is drafted between the parents and myself, if they are a no show they still have to pay. And the best part is that the child and myself would be on a probation period, so if I have a problem child or the parents we part ways. Also before and after school care would work even better, so that way I would not have to deal with the kid all day. Again, thank you all for your responses; I will keep you posted as to what avenue I take Lana EDD 8/24/
