needle freak out

Hi all

My computer is partially fixed.....as in I bought a new keyboard. But I have

1018 emails to read! So I'm not going to get through them all. If anyone was

trying to reach me and didn't put my name in the subject, please let me know.

I've been thinking about emailing this question for a couple of weeks now.

Adam (for those of you who don't know) is 11 1/2 years old. He's been on GHT for

3 years. Some weeks he'll go through a bout where he does his own needle (with

inject ease) and we'll go months where I will do it.

The last couple of weeks I have had this horrible panic attack each time I give

him the needle. I am fine putting it in, as usual.......but when it comes time

to remove it from his leg.......I freeze! I get all freaked out and I can't pull

the thing out!! I do it real slow, and it seems to me I can *see* the skin still

stuck to the needle rising up......and I get all weird.

I end up giving him a bleeder and subsequently a bruise.

How can I inject my son on a nightly basis for 3 years, without an inkling of a

problem, and now it is bothering me to pieces? I told him at his last needle, I

think he's going to have to take over for awhile but what kind of example am I

setting? That this is too 'gross' for mom??? that's not right.

Anyone else have this feeling? Or am I just going crazy " real " fast???/

Thanks\

Debby
