Bonnie,

You could try the Wallbanger Brushing protocol to help with normalizing his

sensitive skin. I believe that if used daily it can really help in this area.

That being said, I know a couple of adults who still clip the tags of their

shirts and have survived quite well! I always smile to myself and think

" hmmm.... an adult spd case.... interesting.... wonder if he likes to be touched

or if it bothers him? " I never ask!

Liz,

Thanks for the link. I checked it out. At this point, the only other

related issue that I see with my son is the sensitivity issue. He

hates tags on the back of his shirts. He will hunch up his shoulders

until it is tucked in! While I was reading The Late Talker and I read

the section on sensory issues I thought, that's Garret.

So can the other issues come up as a child gets older? Or are apraxic

kids typically born w/ all of these issues?

With the milk, what does your child drink instead?

Please forgive my ignorance, the only info that I seem to get is what I

find. Our dr. or SLP has not given anything to us at all. I've kept

the dr. informed of what's going on w/ my son (yes I've thought of

switching drs., but honestly I don't know where I'd find a dr that's

knowledgable on the subject - we live a rural area in OH).
