,

I have had low diffusion pulmonary tests for about 20 years now. I

have Sarcoidosis in addition to Mitochrondrial Myopathy and my lung

x rays show intersitial changes and my lung volume is also low. My

Neurologist thinks weak diapghram muscles are part of the problem.

I use oxygen at night and when I am doing anything strenous. I have

often thought they were related.

Be sure and get a pneumonia vaccine and keep up the flu vaccines.

Jim,

Thanks for replying. I have just been puzzled as to why it is consistently low.

Hopefully, my pulmo doc will have some answers. Unfortunatley,I cannot take the

flu shot because I am allergic to eggs. Thanks agian.

I also can't take flu shots, nobody knows why since I don't show an

allergy to eggs...

Take care,
