Guest guest
Jodi, Tori just got off antibodic for an ear infection was suppose to have a recheck in 4 weeks. End up with a stomach bug and runs for a week. I called the Ped. They said bring her in. I had them check her ears (she said they were stupid). But she didn't have a runny nose or fever. Sure enough the 1st dose didn't clear the ear infection and she is on antibodics again. I would at least call, and to make yourself feel comfortable take him in. It's better to be safe than sorry. Good luck Maloy Is anyone else this paranoid? Okay, had an ear infection and had antibiotics to clear it up. We finished it off on Thursday night, but we have recently been seeing him put his finger in his ear again. Plus, he has been sneezing like CRAZY since last night, and this morning he is blowing mucousy looking snot out of his nose. Very unusal for him! Anyway, has never been sick other than three ear infections, so I am worried. I don't really know if I should just go ahead and take him into his ped. and check on the ear infection and tell him about the sneezing and possible congestion. I hope he doesn't have a cold. I have a cotton ball in his diaper right now so I can check his ketones. Anyone have any great suggestions for me? Does it sound like a cold/maybe just congestion? He has been pretty fussy the last two or three days, too. Is anyone else this paranoid???? If it is something I want to catch it beofre he ends up in the hospital. Since he has restricted lungs, I don't know how much congestion he can handle. Jodi R.
Guest guest
I am also occasionally this paranoid and often rightfully so! Alyssa had got a cold while we were in NY that turned into an ear infection. Sounds like is catching one too! She sneezed like CRAZY for about 2 days. It was one heck of a cold too! I find that if I start giving Alyssa cold medicine as soon as the symtoms appear, it doesn't get as bad. In fact, it is those times that I am able to keep an ear infection at bay as well. It's just like with you and me, drug up soon and you feel better. I like to 'catch " the head cold and attack before it becomes a chest cold! I will be writing more soon to you as well. IT has been crazy since we got back from NY, first the ear infection, then another trip to Ok (the trip from H*LL i might add) and now the rotavirus. I will try to write this afternoon! Take care!
