Guest guest
Hi Many of you have been going through my re-modeling nightmare with me. Well, I have counters and a sink. I never thought I would be excited to wash dishes before. There are still some small jobs to finish, but the kitchen is basically done. This puts me more than half way to the end of my house project. laurie
Guest guest
Laurie, I'm glad you are finally getting your kitchen finally finished. That has been in the process a long time. I am so glad you are finally able to get around in there and even wash the dishes! :-) I hope the rest of the house goes more smooth. Guest guest
Friends Thanks for the kitchen comments. I am planning to have someone come in to do the floors, shower and change bed linens once things are in place. Then I will increase the help as needed. I thought this might ease me into it a bit better, as I know that giving in will be hard for me as well. I think I can handle dusting furniture from my wheelchair for some time yet - I hope. laurie > Laurie, > I'm glad you are finally getting your kitchen finally finished. > That has been in the process a long time. Guest guest
Oh Laurie, i'm with you ... had my kitchen renovated this spring. I have been thru a lot in my life, childbirth and marriage and surgeries and tragedies and triumphs .... there's very little as stressful as HAVING YOUR KITCHEN GUTTED!!! I was totally surprised how hard it was to live around a kitchen reno, really made me feel funny to be so disrupted ... So YAY you have your kitchen again, I love my new space and i hope you are as happy with yours. RE the post in the list about having someone come and do house cleaning ... I have for a while now had someone come in and help with the house, and it costs a lot BUT i will never be without it again if i can help it. I can still do things around the house if i am able (not always) but i am no longer stressed and exhausted just from doing the basics ... and, it has to be faced, i was not able to do a good job anymore. It has made a huge difference in my life. The key is to be able to accept and " enjoy " , not to fret and lose energy and stress out over the last resistance you have to " giving in " or whatever ... the lady who comes and helps me clearly likes having the job and I love the " after " time, when it is done. -- *********************************************************** Kelta Vineyard __________________________________________________
Guest guest
You have a good approach to the cleaning. It is one I will keep in mind and try to put into practice. I do like my kitchen. It has double the cupboard space. Now I have to find my " stuff " . Since I was having other things done as well, my boxes of kitchen things were moved numerous times. Some are in the living room, guest room and garage. I just hope none were put in the basement. I plan to have the contractor go down and check when he comes out next week to do some final trim work. laurie > Oh Laurie, i'm with you ... had my kitchen renovated this > spring.
