Guest guest
In NY there are many organizations that will act as your advocate for free- check the NYSVSEID website. pat mom of molly & LI resident [ ] Re: Another IEP meeting from hell (and now approval) Well isn't that when mediation and then due process comes into play? I mean I do not agree to the light therapy they feel is indicated and what is more upsetting is we would have had this battle had they written in 'group' next to SLT 20 minutes 3X a week in Jan. And to add injury they sent me goals that clearly reflect the fact that they didn't compare and document what goals our son did or did not achieve from Jan because those goals are lot listed (does that make any logical sense to you?) in that he was supposed to achieve cutting with scissors and they left that off the goals - I pointed them out in the meeting (because I am an equal member, right?) and they remained off the list. If you don't agree you have to sign in 15 days that you request mediation and then if that does not solve it - then due process but it sets the tone for the next 21 yrs - they are stuck with us and we are sadly stuck with them! April Where is the link to the free advocate? Here in NY they run you like $2000.
