Guest guest
, I, too, just joined but I have yet to have WLS and to get pg. Actually, I have had two children, but have been trying for #3 for 18 months. I also have PCOS and I just moved from FL to Tennessee! I lived in Cape Coral, FL on the southwest coast. So glad to hear your preg. has been progressing so well for you. I joined just recently since I am in the process of getting the surgery done but was concerned about getting pg post-WLS. I just learned from my PCP yesterday that she strongly believes she can get me pg by putting me on Metformin. I was starting to lean toward just trying to get pg a bit longer and then doing the WLS, but I think I have finally decided to continue to pursue the WLS and try again 18-24 months post-op. It seems a lot of the moms on here have healthier pgs the longer they are post-WLS. Congratulations on your miracle, since I know how hard it is to get pg with PCOS! a
Guest guest
Hi , Your surgery/pregnancy story is very close to mine. I'm 32 and had surgery May 30th, 2002 (wow, almost two years ago!) and when I got pregnant with this baby I was down from 305 to 192 (113lbs). Since being pregnant I've also lost some weight....went down to 182 and now am looming around 185-189. It fluctuates day to day for me. I'm due only one day before you! July 10th, 2004. I'm also 28 weeks pregnant. With a VERY active little boy. They say he's measuring in 50%tile so far....so I'm happy about that. I hope to hear more about him at my next appt. on April 29th. But so far I've felt pretty good. I had some really good fatigue spells in first trimester. Now I'm dealing more with insomnia at night. But no vitamin deficincies and everything else seems to be well. I did just get off a bout of antibiotics due having gotten a good case of Strep throat and sinus infection from my other children (I have three other boys...11, 7 and 5). Anyway...welcome! Glad to hear it's going so well for you and baby (but sorry to hear about the dad not using his head.) Here's to some very healthy babies end of June..early July! (I'm hoping for end of June myself LOL) Sydney
