I am no where near the size you are but I would also think that you

would have a lot more milk because of the size and that would make

it easier to pump and give the baby a bottle or have your husband do

it in the middle of the night feedings - when you are so exhausted

or if someone keeps the baby and you go out somewhere.

I don't remember what size I was - probably 38 C but I had a hard

time coming up with more milk than the baby ate and not having much

extra for those times I would have liked someone to give the baby a

bottle so I could have a break.

I also used a breastfeeding pillow (bought at Babies R Us) to help

him get up to the breast without me using my arms the whole time to

hold him up to them and I also laid on my side in bed a lot.

I know about your breast hurting - mine are the same - sore as all

get out. I guess it is the hormones. I am glad to read in someone

else's post that that will go away around 20 weeks. I'm at 16 weeks

now so I'm excited.

Hope this helps.

Smiles,

I pretty much lurk here (still haven't had WLS, but will be soon in

July)

anyways, I had the exact same size breasts you currently do when I

had my daughter. I found it virtually impossible to nurse her in

any position other than laying down. I tried everything and my

boobs seemed to smother her, so I just stuck to laying down and

making sure my boobs didn't smother her. I nursed her like this for

18 months. There are many postitions/gadgets you can try and others

have already listed them. Also in the begining I so wish I had

already ordered my breastpump. My breasts hurt sooo bad, they were

so full of milk and my daughter couldn't drink it all. I had wished

I had a pump to pump it out and put in the freezer for storage. And

as someone mentioned LANOLIN. I cried on the phone to my mom because

my nipples hurt so bad, I cried until she finally arrived at my

house with some lanolin an hour later. It took about a day for my

nipples to feel better, but I used it after every time I nursed and

the pain never came back.

Taking warm showers helped with the breast pain (while pregnant and

after) I've also heard of others using cabbage leaves.. who knows

lol But the warm showers always worked for me.

Anyways, good luck to your upcoming breastfeeding/no sleep

sessions ;) and to the birth of your baby!

(Moderator note: If you use cabbage leaves, do not cover the nipple area)
