Jodi,

Hey. Sounds like you had a good time last night at your party.

Atleast someone gets out! Ha, ha! :o) Anyway, thanks for thinking

of me tonight. Yeah, it is great to be able to talk to others going

through similar situations. That's why I enjoy this group so much.

Thank you for all of your support and thoughts. I know I'll get

through this, and really, it's not all that bad, but I just get

discouraged at times that my poor cute little guy has to suffer like

this. He is generally very happy, excpet when he throws up and falls

backwards after sitting too long! :o) I can tell his head is still

awfully heavy for him to hold up. What a determined boy he is!

Wow, good going Max! He is really doing so well. That is great that

he held it together. But, it is also good that he did express his

feelings to you guys later. He can't hold that stuff back. Your

right Jodi. Your " little " boy is becoming a MAN!

Take care,

Jodi R.

Party, so I am reading/catching up on the posts. I read your

true.

Jodi R., I thought of you tonight. At this party, there was a woman

there who has more money that you and I could ever hope for, lives

in a gorgeous, very tasteful house in town, and has a soon-to-be ex-

husband who owns many radio radio stations around the country. It

is a well-known company, so I won't reveal the name, but if you

heard it, you would recognize it. Jan, the woman I was talking to

and the soon-to-be ex-wife, has three children, the youngest, at 21,

having special needs and will never be independent and is quite

immature in many ways. I have to tell you, although her daughter's

educational, emotional and some medical needs are more severe or

involved than Max's, it was such a nice and welcome relief to talk

to someone I had not talked to in years and years and share our

feelings and experiences. I so wished that you could be part of

this conversation because you are feeling the way you do about

. It was just so great to talk to someone who UNDERSTANDS!!!

One more thing...when we came back from our vacation, I needed a

wheelchair because of my stupid foot that is back in an aircast.

The guy who was wheeling me to baggage claim asked my kids how old

they were. When Max said he was 15 and in 9th grade, the guy was so

shocked that he had to stop the wheelchair. He said, " Man, you are

small. You look like you are in 7th grade at the most. " I cringed

and just let it be to see what Max would do. Max just stood up to

him and said that no, he is in high school and very happy that he

is. Then he changed the subject. He held it together the whole

time until we were in the car going home. Then he expressed his

anger. But he was so mature about it and handled it so wonderfully

that I did not feel the pain that I usually feel when people remark

about him. My " little " boy is growing up!

I, too, am very proud of Max. Last year at this time, a comment

like that would have put him into a panic/anxiety attack and would

have lasted for hours, if not days. The event happened, he handled

it, he expressed his anger and then moved on. I'm not sure I could

have done the same thing.

Thanks for all of your replies. They mean a lot.

He is really a star Jodi!!! There has been something worrying me tho....in the

gallery there are pics of a beautiful young man called Larry. Could I ask...and

I really really don't want to offend Larry's mum or anyone...but could I ask why

he died?
