Don't beat yourself up, just keep the good attitude that you didn't have this surgery to mess it up, and increasing your exercise is wonderful. You keep up the good work, you'll be fine. Take care. I am having nightmares that I am going to fail at this. I am doing everything right minus this last weekend, I caught myself asking to take small bites of my families food that I have not been eating. I am getting nervous. I made a pledge to exercise 7 days a week. I did not go through major surgery to fail. I am so nervous. Have you felt this way?Kristie---- snickers_95203@... wrote: Donna JordonDSJordon@... Yahoo! Guest guest
Barbara You know for me I went through a lot of adjustments after WLS, and any new foods took time. So you will work this out, and with time our new pouch get less sensitive and things do get easier, just don't you give up. Donna"Hokoana, Barbara" wrote: Hi Laurie, I am also having problems with breakfast. I can't remember - are you the one that wrote you have problems eating in the morning? That is definetely my problem. I even have problems taking my vitamins in the morning - this morning I took them at 10 and nearly threw them back up! I talked to Dr. Fisher about it yesterday and he, like someone else, suggested to start where I am and then slowly move back the time I eat by 30 minutes until it is at a reasonable time. Eggs and cheese has been one of my favorites since going on stage 3, but making myself eat in the morning is soooooooooo horrible. I hope this works itself out. I love scrambled eggs with a little graded cheese. Or I make an omlet with graded vegs, and a little cheese, only eat a little (makes 3 meals for me). I also like cottage cheese with a little slice of can peach rinsed and cut up on the cottage cheese, or a little cottage cheese along with a string cheese, or a little cottage cheese with a little egg. Guest guest
Laurie I'm just like you, had IBS for so many years. The surgery set it off bad for 4 months, then it gets good until I try something new. Baby steps, only one little bit of something new for many times, then 2 bits, finally if it's going to be okay I will know by then, if not I just don't do it. All things take time. Take care. DonnaLLLORY@... wrote: Hi Barbara, yes I have always had trouble eating inthe morning. But for me it is irritable bowelsyndrome. I've had it since I was 8 years old or so. I get diarrhea if I eat too soon after getting up. Inormally wait 1-2 hrs, then I'm fine...usually. Thesurgery seemed to throw me into a big flare up, then Ihad the big D all the time, no matter what I did. Anyway, nausea was never really a problem for me. Sorry I wasn't much help.Laurie __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less. dsl.yahoo.com Donna JordonDSJordon@... Yahoo! Now about 182, out of plus sizes, but nowhere near where I want to be. But I'm losing again, woohoo!! Laurie __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about.
