Guest guest
My doctor did tell me though when that happens since I had a VBG, staple and band put in that I should not drink or eat anything for 4 hours. Tell you what thats har to go that long without drinking especially pregnant. He said that if it did not pass after that time to go to ER to have it removed. I have learned that bread and potatoes all but mashed are big no no's for me.
Guest guest
Depending on where it's stuck, the action of puking the liquid back up can dislodge the block. I had a SRVG procedure rather than a RNY, which means I have one of those gol-durn silicone rings permanently installed in my stomach. I get stuck at least once or twice a week, sometimes more. When I'm really really stuck, I get several big gulps of water all at once and it makes me instantly have to puke hard. (Sorry to be gross.) That has always finished the job for me. Hope that helps. -- Kris Wood " I base most of my fashion taste on what doesn't itch. " Gilda Radner on 6/21/04 2:45 PM, couponcrazymoms@... at couponcrazymoms@... wrote: Okay all... Guest guest
When I had something stuck, my surgeon told me to sip over the course of an hour. 1/2 cup warm water 1 teaspoon of unseasoned meat tenderizer 1 teaspoon of lemon juice It is nasty but it does the trick. I hope this helps! Not preggers yet but hoping to be soon Bobbie St. Louis RNY 10/03 -104lbs
Guest guest
I haven't read all the replies yet, so forgive any duplication...My surgeon insists on Coke...not diet not pepsi, but coke. Sip slowly. If obstruction not relieved within 24 hrs, call surgeon...Mine would do a scope at that point, but not sure with being prego... Hope by now its better! Guest guest
Just an addendum....The coke will either push it down or make you throw it up...Really makes you wonder what we do to ourselves drinking that stuff just because it tastes good, eh? The other thing my surgeon suggested (like someone else also said) is meat tenderizer, but i tell you, coke tastes a heck of alot better. Guest guest
I haven't been able to get the coke to work - but the meat tenderizer does wonders for me...I'll deal with the taste if it helps me to feel better FAST!
