Guest guest
Well I went shoe shopping yesterday and what is up with baby shoe prices? I saw a pair of shoe for $40! Although cute but plain old slip on tennis shoe! I went to Beall's and found a pair of nice New Balance tennis shoes. If you recall I bought her a pair of shoes kind of like stride rite with the ankle support but for some reason the sole was very slippery on our floors so off I went to buy rubber soled shoes to help with the slipping. Well this New Balance shoe was ok not a color I would love for (it was pink&white) and when she walked in them she seemed like she could not walk very well at all so we did now buy them. I skipped Wal-mart since someone had a bad experience w/ their shoes and I did not see a small size any way. to me has a small foot and sometimes I have a hard time finding her shoes. All those cute shoes are in 5 and up. So i took a chance and went to Payless. Well decided to pick out her own shoes. DORA the EXPLORER!! She just loves her. Picked the right sizes too. I was told by the lady that ALL their shoes provide ankle support. I wanted to know how big do you buy your kids shoes? I buy them at least a thumb big but this lady wanted me to buy shoes that were almost have her foot big! THey wer big in the front and back and honestly she looked like a clown! She is very petite looking and then with a huge shoe on she looked ridiculous and yet the lady pressed on to buy the bigger size. Well i didnt! Stuck with the size 3! It fit her plenty big, no need to keep the shoes for years i thought to myself. so she loves her shoes. and to our amazement she took a few steps on her own!! we are so excited! she thinks its a game though trying to get her to walk on her own. when we clapped she just started throwing herself instead of walking. I hope this is the beginning of her walking on her own! Sorry so long, just thought I would share since we have been talking about shoes! and BL CF 12/16/
