Guest guest
I don't know about getting off them, but while you're on them, a few tips: Don't take them within 2 hours of calcium supps, magnesium, antacids or iron. Don't lie down within at least an hour -- they can cause trouble to the esophagus. They're better absorbed on an empty stomach. NB: Don't take my word for it -- You can look up patient info by doing a search on Google or others. trackgalcal > > I began yesterday a 30 day course of tetracycline. Guest guest
I shared my opinion about this a week or so ago, Deryk, so if you're interested it should be in the searchable archives. But most important, I think you should listen to your doctor's advice about how to stop. That's an atypical method of dosing his tetracycline, and a month is not the typical length of time for rosacea care, so it sounds like s/he has her/his own method of treatment. Guest guest
Is there a list anywhere that will tell me which antibiotics are easier on a mito patient? My son Jack has been sick for three weeks and the doc thinks there maybe a secondary infection, but I don't want to use antibiotics because the Z-pack and tetracycline group cause great havoc on his stomach and make it shut down...(pain and inability to pass stool and we get into this long drawn out trying to get him better. Thanks. vivian
