Hi everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying the season. I know it's

been crazy busy around here. My daugher Shye had to have emergency

surgery the fri before x-mas. Yea like I wasn't far enough behind on

shopping...hehehe She has recovered very nicely.

Anyways here's my question. Coby is on Periactin now and has to have

surgery at the first of the year. Wehn do I stop the periactin and

when do I restart it? Any thoughts on this would be appriciated.

Thanks and take carfe all.

Hi le,

When had surgery, we never really stopped the periactin. While

he was not allowed to eat, of course he didn't get it, but we did re-

start immediately.

Good luck,

le,

We had the same experience . He has had 5 surgeries since

starting periactin. We gave him periactin on schedule, other than

when he was not allowed to eat. For Jake this was only the morning

of surgery. He did have an IV, due to hypoglycemia.

I would however, discuss this with the surgeon and anesthiologist

(sic?).

Best of luck,

Alison
