Guest guest
Hi, everyone. I have had so many private emails asking why I have been so quiet lately that I thought I should post something to let you know that I am still alive and kicking. Actually, that is the problem. I am so busy with three jobs that I don't have much time to myself these days. I LOVE teaching kindergarten (special ed) and have devoted many extra hours to try to get that class straightened out. Wow, those kids really learned nothing the first three months of school. We have to make up for a lot of lost time. The chef/cooking school thing is doing well, too. I've put in many extra hours there, as well, so I get home pretty late. I enjoy it, but I'm so tired that I'm glad we will be closed from tomorrow until the 3rd of January. I also fell on the ice on Wednesday and reinjured my left foot. I have to go to the doctor tomorrow and have him check it out. I spoke to him on the phone when it was just sore. Now it just plain hurts all the time. I hate taking the pain meds, so I just put up with it, but I need to take something to help me sleep or I toss and turn all night. And I have to wear that stupid AirCast and I hate it. It looks like a storm trooper boot and gets in the way. Please know that I am thinking of all of you and hope to be online more often once I get past Tuesday. That is when school vacation starts. I am reading the posts, so I know what is going on. Oh - by the way, Max is doing pretty well. He still continues to have stomach problems from time to time, but he has learned to try to stop the vomiting when he feels he can. That is a major step. He missed one day of school last week because he was throwing up, but when he was faced with using the pump for nutrition, he ate a roast beef sandwich and would not allow it to come back up again. He was so proud of himself! Also, Max is now working at the cooking studio. He is doing well and excited about earning money and a paycheck. He only works about 6 hours a week, but that adds up to over $30 - and sometimes he works more days than two. So....we are having a great Hanukkah and really being more of a " normal " family. We are seeing Dr. H. on Tuesday and I hope to hear good things from her. Max is supposed to have a bone age done and she is going to predict what she thinks Max's final height will be. I'm a bit nervous about that, but we will be jumping for joy if he is going to break that 5'3 " mark. Of course, I'll let you know. Happy Holidays to all. Despite the new elevated warning level, I hope everyone enjoys the season and being with family and friends. Jodi Z.
