I don't know if they have been " officially " SCD approved, but many have investigated them and found they meet SCD requirements. Guest guest
Applegate recently changed their recipe to eliminate all the sugar from the hot dogs. So, based on the label, they are now legal. They went to great lengths to not lose our business (as they originally had honey, not sugar, then switched to sugar, and now have no sweetener at all). I'm sure they are not officially endorsed but my kids do eat them without any problems whatsoever. We are glad to have the hotdogs back! The chicken, beef, and turkey varieties (not just statium style) are free from sugar and starch as well. Robbie Hi, I am in need of help. I have to supply hot dogs and the recipe for the home made ones aren't really presentable until I work on them some more. Are the Applegate Organic Stadium Beef Hot Dogs okay? I remember this discussion but with the volume of emails I can't find it anymore. Thanks for the help. Pearl

Guest guest
We personaly do not use them. If it is not officially endorsed, we can't afford any more goofs or set backs. We are so happy with the success we are having, what is one more sacrifice? What is most important is we are getting our daughter back from the depths of celiac and loosing her to deliriums, seizures and autistic behaviors. What a trade off...to heck with the hot dogs. God Bless all, Antoinette
Guest guest
Last time I looked, there were only certain hotdogs that were ok, not all of them. This was about a month ago. The organic beef stadium style and organic turkey. I think the others still had sugar. Guest guest
Robbie, Yes, Applegate is a good, responsive, SCD friendly company. We need Turkey Bacon!!! :-). Could you use some of your influence to get them to use only the SCD legal sweetner, honey in the bacon?
