Guest guest
Hi Kim, I am Jodi Rollison, 's mom. I just had an appointment with Dr. Harbison on October 23, and she ended up spending 4 and a 1/2 hours with and my family. She was pretty much very concerned about . She said that he was very calorie deficient and said we needed to get some calories into him any way we could. BUT, I am like Dayna. I didn't really get a lot of answers. The main thing is, I wanted to learn more about RSS and how to take better care of my child. She said that I was doing a good job, but really I have been lucky with so far. He has had two ear infections within six months, but no colds or other sicknesses. He had one bought with low blood sugar, and that was during his first ear infection. Other than that time, we haven't had any other episodes. That one time was enough for me. I worry about things like that. I am so freaky about those kinds of things, and I want to protect him and keep him as healthy as possible. Well, I am glad that I went to see her, but she is rather gruff and hard to pin down at times. She is VERY BUSY, and it shows. has gained a good bit of weight since we have been back, more than he would have if we didn't go. He is gaining one ounce a day now. I am very happy about the results so far. The only thing that I am unhappy about is his throwing up at least twice a day. It seems to be pretty hard on him, but the tests she ran showed that he doesn't have reflux. She does have him on Prilosec two times a day though. " Just in case " . She said that she wouldn't do the triple procedure on since he didn't have reflux. I am glad he didn't have to go through a surgery, but I have always been told that has reflux. His GI Dr. told me that there are no definitive tests for reflux. So, who knows. Anyway, I hope all goes well for you in NY. I just wanted to tell you that Dr. H did spend a lot of time with us. She was very concerned and intrigued with . I hope that you do get thae answers you want. I think the best time to ask her any specific questions are during your appointment. It is sometimes hard to get to here once you are admitted and even if she comes around it is hard to ask her all the questions you have because she is so busy. I just think the best time to do it is while she is in the office with you. Take care, Jodi Rollison 5/23/2002, RSS, 12 lbs. 4 oz., 25 1/2 in.
