Back To School And Your Special Needs Child

Theresa DelPriore, preschool principal at the Brooklyn School for

Special Children (NY), recommends parents do the following:

1. If your child is going to be in a mainstream class, prepare a

one-page summary of her key strengths and weaknesses and

significant needs.

2. Make sure the school is aware of any special dietary or

medical needs concerning your child.

3. Make a list of all numbers where you can be reached.
