Guest guest
I am still (at 21 years of age) pretty hypoglycemic and over the years I've been able to discern that sweating is my *first* sign that my blood sugar is beginning to fall. My BSLs may not necessarily be below normal range when I start to sweat profusely, but I've found that they will be soon if I don't eat something in a timely manner. ~Hillary 21, RSS
Guest guest
Hillary nailed it right on the head. For some reason, RSS individuals spill ketones long before they become hypoglycemic. And this sweating is part of the process. Every parent needs to ensure that their child is not spilling ketones if they are having nighttime or daytime sweating like this. Use over the counter ketosticks and check their ketone levels. If they are abnormal, your child needs more carbohydrates. Again, please contact MAGIC tollfree 800-3MAGIC3 for the documents Dr. Harbison has written explaining why this occurs and what you can do to prevent it. > I am still (at 21 years of age) pretty hypoglycemic and over the years > I've been able to discern that sweating is my *first* sign that my > blood sugar is beginning to fall.
