I have an appoinment this coming Thursday with Dr. Harbison for my 38mth old

daughter. I am very nervous as a lot is resting on her diagnosis so I want to

make sure I have everything prepared for Dr. Harbison as far as medical

records. Is there a certain format I use in presenting everything to her?? I

just

have the copied pages I received from the two Doctors I have seen so far and

blood work taken on four seperate occasions.

Also I live in Philadelphia and will be taking a train with my daughter to

Penn Station. Is it an easy cab ride to get to Dr. H's office from there? Once

there does anyone have an idea of how long a typical first appointmt takes?

Thanks so much for any info you all can share.

Sue

Hi Sue,

First, good luck with your appointment on Thursday. If you can make

a list of all measurements (weight and height at each age taken) for

her that is very helpful as she likes to create her own growth chart.

From Penn Station, you shouldn't have too much trouble catching a

cab. You will be going all the way across town and a bit north (the

hospital entrance is on 68th Street at York Avenue which is east of

first avenue).

At our first appointment, we were with Dr H for a few hours and had

waited a few hours to see her. Be prepared for a long wait. The

waiting room in her office is very small, so we usually wait in the

hallway. When you get there, go inside, let them know you are there

and then tell them you will be waiting outside. Bring food and

toys. What time is your appointment?

If you have any questions, feel free to post or to email me directly.

Good luck,

Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 3 yr 8 mo twins
