Pattie: NY to DC

Pattie,

After I posted my note to you last night I started to think about the

fact that if you fly from NY to DC, the airline would probably

consider it one-way (even if you use the same airline that flies you

from Michigan to NY). So, I went on the Amtrak website and their one-

way fares are pretty reasonable. I think for you and Jon it would

only run you $108 one-way. Of course, this is not on the Acela train

which is much faster, but I think the regular train is only about 3

1/2 hours. I have done it before, the train is nice and comfortable.

As I said before, please try and get in touch if you have some free

time, Tony and I (and Jake) would love to see you guys again!

Actually we are going to fly to DC and then back to NY to meet up

with friends and fly back to Michigan. I found round trip tickets

for about 140.00 each so we will probably come that way. We hope to

get there in the evening on the 28th and leave the morning on the

1st. Jonathon's friend will be in school all three days so we can

get together during that time if Jake is free. I'll call you!
