I have to brag. 1021 is my gorgeous achondroplasic

daughter! We have had many conversations about this topic. We

decided that there is 'normal staring' and 'mean staring'. It is

human nature to stare at someone or something that is different,

although we do have to teach or kids not to point and laugh and make

rude comments at the top of their lungs! lol However, any noticably

handicapped person understands that children are not born knowing

these things and they will need to be taught. The important thing is

the way the parent handles it.
