Guest guest
I reported a while ago that my daughter had started showing sensory and behavioral side effects every time I increased or reintroduced EFA's. I also posted that she showed some improvements with Vitamin E. Now I would like to follow up that after several weeks of supplementing with Vit E I have been able to reintroduce the EFA's without any sensory or emotional side effects. I have even introduced the highe EPA which for some reason was the one she most reacted to. Before I used to see a lot of squriming around while watching TV, eating lunch, and an increase in tantrums and crying. I am very hopeful that now she will be able to benefit from the EFA's (speech, attention). I haven't seen anything yet but at least she is tolerating them. I also need to increase the dosage significantly since she is now 7. I will continue to post. Her stools got a little loose at the beginning. She is better now, but certainly more " regular " than usual. Is it possible she doesn't digest fats well? She was deficient in the fat soluble vitamins (particularly A and D), does anyone feel there is any link? We have a bottle of Lipase (Enzymes to help with fat digestion) that we purchased when we were suspecting this for other reasons, but I don't know if the enzymes could have a negative effect on the Essential Fatty Acids. I would love the group's input. Thanks!
