Guest guest
Awhile back we were talking about affordable hot tubs, and I think I mentioned one that I had rented to practice waterbirths, as we were researching that for our hospital. Tonight I found some photos & sent one so you could see it. This was a 2-person tub and was comfortable for 2 average-sized adults. It had several jets & an attachable heater. It was sturdy, yet really comfortable. We had a pregnant student midwife, and she loved it. The lady in this photo is a L & D nurse & I'm helping her give birth to a doll. We actually got the approval for waterbirths just before I retired & they have done quite a number of them. Anyway, this is the tub & I'm pretty sure that the company is still in business. I set this up in my living room; I think it was winter then. Ramblin' Rose Moderator Exercise your brain! Try Flexicon.
Guest guest
Rose, Softub is still in business. I brought the 1-4 person about 1 1/2 years ago. The unit is very flexible (it can be folded) and light weight so I was able to put get the tub through the doorway into a finished basement. Nice having the unit in the house as it can be used year round without having to trample through the snow. It cost about $10-15 in electricity & maintenance to run every month and is well worth the cost, especially when the joints & muscles get sore. Plus, nothing like a good soak to wash off the troubles of the day... Peace, Tony
