Guest guest
There are many different conditions that can result in apraxia...so it depends on what is causing it. Verbal apraxia is defined as a life-long condition that can not be " cured " , but certainly there are many things to help these children. It certainly can be treated with good OT, ST and many children respond well to omegas and vit E. Although whatever caused this in my son is still there, and speech and coordination issues resurface if he can't take his supplements (ie big regression with the stomach flu this winter)...we have got a " clinical " cure - he's now a normal kid. No one would diagnose him as apraxia if her were tested now, so he has recovered from the symtptoms, but still has the underlying condition. - > Any idea? > Thx >
