Hi - I was looking for some advice on glucometers ...

1) looking for one that is easy to use

2) for one that is the least painful

I have a child starting Kindergarten and need to supply the school

nurse with a glucometer .... I haven't had to buy one for several

years so I was wondering what the favorite is....

thanks for any help...

We use the Precision monitor which is very easy to use and takes 5 seconds. It also has the feature of checking blood ketones which is great for children who are on the Ketogenic Diet.

Hi, my daughter uses the Freestyle at home and the Freestyle Flash

at school. Both of them use blood from the arm which is not painful

at all. It uses so little blood and you have much less nerve

endings in your arm than in your finger. They are really easy to

use too.

I realise im a bit late on this, but we JUST bought our first

glucometer yesterday... its a Lifescan One touch Ultra... I cant

give a full review on it, but it too allows me to test on s

arm... is 21 months, and I have tested him several times

already and he hasnt so much as flinched (arm or finger) so Im quite

happy with it! :)
